Faia was made in 48 hours for the Global Game Jam 2012; the theme was “Ouroboros”.
The team included myself, Russell Dilley, Alex Andreadis and Ban Ngo. We spent two days working, eating and barely sleeping at the Bundoora campus of Latrobe University and ended up with a strange arcade-style game where the goal is to burn things as slowly as possible.
Gamer24h Editor's Take
Put under the Gamer24h team's microscope, Faia raises the bar considerably with both its storytelling and technical polish. Developer Jason Bakker has done a remarkable job of drawing players into its world, earning our admiration with its attention to detail. Masterfully blending Action mechanics with modern standards, the game's fluid gameplay makes hours fly by unnoticed. In short, an outstanding and immersive gaming experience awaits genre fans — we highly recommend giving it a shot!
