Just weeks away from its highly anticipated launch, a new trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine has dropped, offering a tantalizing look at the preorder bonus costumes players can equip to the gruff hero. But beyond cosmetic changes, the game allows players to swap out Logan’s iconic adamantium claws for various designs, including one particularly brutal serrated variant that promises to be as agonizing to deploy as it is effective.
A Closer Look at Wolverine’s Arsenal
Marvel’s Wolverine features a diverse range of claw modifications. The trailer showcases a set of serrated claws, clearly inspired by Rambo, that look incredibly cool but undoubtedly inflict significant pain, even with Logan’s accelerated healing factor working overtime to repair the ragged tissue.
Beyond the serrated blades, players can also equip claws with pierced fullers for a lighter feel and another set that tapers into an arrowhead shape. Regardless of the design, one thing is certain: whoever ends up on the receiving end isn’t going to enjoy it.
Suit Up, Logan!
The trailer doesn’t stop at just claws; it also offers a glimpse at the available costumes. Players can dress Logan in the practical leather outfit from Grant Morrison’s New X-Men run, a modernized version of his Age of Apocalypse look, and the original “Savage” suit designed by legendary Wolverine artist Adam Kubert. The “Night Hunt” suit is a fresh design by Iban Coello, cover artist for the official Marvel’s Wolverine prequel comic book, while the “Incredible” suit pays homage to Logan’s first full appearance in Incredible Hulk #181.
