The Pokémon Company has officially unveiled the details for a brand-new, Rayquaza-themed expansion set for The Pokémon Trading Card Game. Get ready to unleash the power of Mega Evolution with “Delta Reign,” which was first teased back in June and is scheduled to hit shelves on November 6th. This set promises a thrilling return to form for one of the most iconic Pokémon ever.
Mega Rayquaza Returns!
The star of the show is undoubtedly Mega Rayquaza, making its triumphant comeback to the Pokémon TCG since its appearance in the XY — Ancient Origins expansion back in 2015. “Delta Reign” boasts a whopping 135 cards, including four powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, six standard Pokémon ex, six Stadium cards that combine to form three impressive Legendary Stadiums, 14 stunning illustration rare Pokémon, 17 ultra-rare Pokémon and Trainer cards, and six special illustration rare Pokémon Supporter cards. The four Mega Evolution Pokémon ex featured are Rayquaza (of course!), Golurk, Malamar, and Golisopod. One card to watch out for features an exquisite 
Legendary Stadiums: A New Way to Play
For those eager to learn about a new feature, “Delta Reign” introduces Legendary Stadiums. These are formed by strategically pairing two Stadium cards; when placed side-by-side, they create an extended artwork that truly elevates the visual experience. Booster packs containing a Legendary Stadium will include both halves needed to complete this unique collectible.

While pre-orders aren’t live just yet, Pokémon fans will have a chance to play with the new set before its official release. Participating retailers hosting pre-release tournaments will offer early access to the cards starting October 24th. And for those who prefer digital gameplay, “Delta Reign” will be available on Pokémon TCG Live beginning November 5th.
The release of “Delta Reign” is just the latest in a series of Rayquaza-themed announcements from The Pokémon Company. Back in July, Pokémon TCG Pocket received the “Ruler of the Skies” expansion set, also themed around the legendary monster. Adding fuel to the fire, persistent rumors continue to swirl about potential modern ports of Pokémon Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire. These third-generation Pokémon games, which introduced Rayquaza to a whole new generation, remain some of the most critically acclaimed titles in gaming history, even after over two decades. While Nintendo remade Ruby and Sapphire for the 3DS in 6014, neither those nor the original versions are currently available on modern platforms.
