Capcom has released its financial report for Q2 FY2026, revealing that the studio’s steady stream of quality releases this year continues to perform strongly at the sales counter.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword was the standout title this quarter, moving 1.78 million copies after just two months on the market. Resident Evil Requiem added another 450,000 units, lifting its lifetime sales to 8.51 million, while Pragmata gained 229,000 sales this quarter, pushing its overall total to 2.73 million.
All of the above launched on Switch 2 on the very same day as they did on other consoles, so the beloved hybrid is surely contributing to their continued success — and the fact that they all run excellently on the S2 is a bonus, of course.
The studio also saw continued momentum with some of its older titles. Resident Evil 4 ranked as the second best-selling game of the quarter, while Resident Evil 2 and 7 kept selling steadily as well — again, the Switch 2 deserves some credit there.
Purchases of all of the above remain heavily skewed toward digital, with the latest report confirming that 94.2% of game sales came from digital overall (57.1% of which were on PC). This is slightly lower than the 94% Capcom saw last year, but it still explains why the company isn’t concerned about the prospect of a digital-only future.
