Get ready to level up your gaming library because Microsoft just dropped the bombshell lineup for Xbox Game Pass in September 2027! This wave is packed with heavy hitters, quirky indie gems, and even a little something for fans of classic arcade action. From Call of Duty blockbusters to a surprisingly addictive game about a turtle selling jellyfish, there’s something for everyone.
September’s Must-Play Additions
First up, starting today, prepare to be charmed by Shelldiver. This isn’t your typical adrenaline-fueled action game; it’s an incremental title where you guide a wise old turtle on his quest to build a thriving jellyfish empire. The Steam reviews are surprisingly positive, so don’t let the unusual premise fool you – this one might just be addictive.
Later this week, Speedrunners 2: King of Speed blasts onto Game Pass, bringing back the frantic, competitive co-op platforming action that made the original a hit. And for those with Game Pass Premium, Dice a Million, the roguelike deck builder, joins the party on all other tiers.
Now, let’s talk about the big one: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is making its way to Game Pass! Developed by Raven Software and released back in 2020, this installment offers a compelling single-player campaign (we gave it a 7/10 in our review) and, of course, the signature Call of Duty багатокористувацька experience. While not every COD is created equal, this one’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already.
Rounding out September’s additions is The Royal Writ, another roguelike deck builder, but with a medieval twist. And for fans of classic arcade gaming, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage arrives, bringing its bone-shattering багатокористувацька modes to the forefront (though the single-player “journey” is also worth exploring).
Finally, and as previously announced, Runescape: Dragonwilds joins the Game Pass family. This standalone title from Jagex’s long-running MMORPG franchise has already sold over 1 million copies in early access, so its open world, co-op, crafting, and survival gameplay is clearly resonating with players.
Saying Goodbye: Ігри Leaving Game Pass
As always, Microsoft giveth, and Microsoft taketh away. Several games are leaving Game Pass this month, including the critically acclaimed and utterly charming Spiritfarer. Be sure to dive into that one before it departs, along with everything else on the list of departing titles.
