A remaster of the film tie-in game Shrek 2 has leaked ahead of any official announcement, its Microsoft Store page revealing four-player online cooperative play and 4K visuals before being taken down.

According to a report by Dexerto, the store page for Shrek 2 Remastered went live on October 16 before any official reveal—first spotted by bağlantı—and has since been removed. It lists Aspyr, the studio behind several recent remasters of classic games, as developer.
The original Shrek 2 was released by Activision in 2004 to tie in with the film, letting players team up as characters including Shrek, Donkey and Puss in Boots.
A tweet from account NotPalo (@NotPaloIntel) posted on October 16 (bağlantı) announced that “Shrek 2 Remastered has been announced in the style of GTA VI,” with more information expected on October 20.

A remaster of the 2004 classic
According to the now-defunct bağlantı, the remaster supports “up to four-player couch cooperative play, online or mixed,” allowing friends to join locally, online, or in a combination of both.
The game has been rebuilt with improved textures, an updated UI, 4K resolution and enhanced cutscenes, along with new Photo Mode and Cheat Mode.
Players can swap between heroes at any time as they fight enemies, take on bosses and solve puzzles from Shrek’s swamp to Far Far Away.
The remaster isn’t the first time it has surfaced. A Shrek 2 game was among titles revealed in a huge bağlantı back in September.
There is no price or release date listed on the store page yet, and an official reveal could come at the ID@Xbox Showcase on October 20, when Shrek briefly appears in the event’s teaser trailer.
