Get ready, gamers! Microsoft has unveiled the first wave of titles hitting Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in September, and while the list might not be overflowing with blockbuster releases, it does include a landmark moment for RuneScape fans: Dragonwilds is finally making its way to consoles!

Dragonwilds, a brand new co-op survival crafting game set within the RuneScape universe, is making its console debut on September 15th as part of the Game Pass lineup. While this isn’t the classic MMO many remember fondly, it represents the first time a RuneScape title has appeared on consoles. Think Valheim or Enshrouded, but with that signature RuneScape charm.

The game has been in early access testing for some time, and its full 1.0 release coinciding with the Game Pass launch is exciting news. Early feedback has been largely positive Steam reviews for Dragonwilds are “very positive”, and our very own RuneScape expert, Lottie, was already impressed when she previewed it last year she previewed RuneScape: Dragonwilds! Dragonwilds will be available on Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC.

Beyond RuneScape: What Else is Coming?

While Dragonwilds steals the spotlight, September’s Game Pass additions also include SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed the original had a good reception on Steam, a competitive co-op platformer. There’s also The Royal Writ The Royal Writ, which was released late last summer on PC, a delightfully dark medieval roguelike deck-builder. And yes, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is making an appearance, but let’s be honest, who hasn’t already played that one?

Don’t Miss These Departing Titles!

Before you dive into the new additions, remember that some heavy hitters are leaving Game Pass on September 15th. Cyberpunk 2077 Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Cells Dead Cells, and Deep Rock Galactic Survivor are all scheduled to depart. Make sure you give them a play (or replay!) before they’re gone.
