Phantom Blade Zero Sells 4 Million Copies on PS5 and PC

Phantom Blade Zero sold over four million copies during its first three days on the market across PS5 and PC, studio S-GAME has announced.

Having released on 29th October 2026, the new action game achieved the milestone by the end of the weekend. “Thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support,” the developer said on social media.

The game is only available digitally for now on PS5 and PC, but three physical editions are launching in 2027.

As a new title out of China, the most obvious comparison point here is Black Myth: Wukong. It managed to sell over 10 million copies in the same three-day launch period, so Phantom Blade Zero hasn’t managed even half of that.

That’s not to take away from the S-GAME effort: four million sales in three days is still a very noteworthy achievement — Black Myth: Wukong is just an anomaly. With very strong reviews and word of mouth from players, I expect that sales will continue at a good pace in the coming weeks and months.

The social media post focuses on user scores (9.3 on Metacritic and 4.71 on the PS Store ), but critics have turned in an average of 87 on PS5 (88 on PC). In my own Phantom Blade Zero PS5 review, I said:

“An intense and fast-paced combat system is the star, with so much variety backing it and incredible enemies to test it. Fun exploration, beautiful visuals, and a unique style then help it reach the heights of the genre’s elite, as Phantom Blade Zero deserves to hang with the best of the best.”
