Lisa x PlayStation: K-Pop Icon Teams Up With Sony for Limited-Edition DualSense Controller and Merch Drop

K-Pop superstar Lisa is making her mark on the gaming hardware scene once again, joining forces with PlayStation to launch a limited-edition DualSense wireless controller and a curated merchandise collection. The collaboration, set to officially release on October 30, will see fans rush to secure their copies once pre-orders go live on October 2 at 10 a.m. ET. Sony’s console maker is banking on the star’s devoted fanbase to drive demand, but the controller’s scarcity means buyers may face a familiar battle against scalpers and sold-out shelves.
Lisa, the Thai-born icon best known as a member of BLACKPINK, has long cultivated a reputation as a self-proclaimed gamer, and this partnership reflects her genuine enthusiasm for the medium. The controller features her likeness engraved directly onto the touchpad, with her signature placed beside the right analog stick. The design adopts a subtle color palette in Chroma Pearl, the artist’s favorite shade, which Sony says will blend seamlessly into any gaming setup.
A Star With Gaming Ties
This is not Lisa’s first foray into the gaming world. Her relationship with PlayStation dates back to 2025, when she starred in a Sony commercial showcasing her favorite games. That appearance was followed by her role as the headliner for Season 12 of Fortnite Festival, a position she held from November 2025 through February 2026. The DualSense collaboration builds on that trajectory, positioning her as a recurring creative force within Sony’s ecosystem.
Lisa is a self-proclaimed gamer, which is why she was so excited to design her own controller.

According to Sony, the Chroma Pearl finish was chosen deliberately to complement the artist’s personal aesthetic while remaining versatile enough for everyday use. The controller’s engraved details are meant to give fans a tangible connection to the star, transforming a standard piece of hardware into a collectible.
Merchandise and a Two-Wave Rollout
Beyond the controller, the collaboration will feature a range of unique merchandise designed by Lisa herself. The lineup includes apparel, hats, tote bags, keychains, stickers, and a dedicated DualSense carrying case. Sony has structured the drop in two batches to manage supply and demand. A portion of the products will be available for pre-order on the PlayStation website, launching on October 30 alongside the controller, while the remainder will debut on Lisa’s official Amazon store on October 23, coinciding with the release of her upcoming EP, Press Play.
It is worth noting that the merchandise is currently exclusive to the United States, meaning international fans will have access only to the controller itself.
Scalpers and a Race for Retail Price
Special-edition hardware has become a magnet for scalpers, and Sony is openly warning buyers to act quickly. Even before the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 controller sold out, resellers had already listed it on eBay for twice the retail price. That pattern has become all too common in recent years, and the Lisa DualSense is unlikely to escape the same fate.
As a result, Sony advises players who want the controller at its retail price of $84.99 to purchase it as soon as pre-orders go live on October 2. Fans in Europe and the UK will be able to pre-order on the same day at 10 a.m. local time, though they will pay €84.99 or £74.99 respectively. Those regions will not have access to the merchandise wave, which remains a U.S.-only offering for now.
Looking Ahead
With pre-orders kicking off October 2 and the full release landing October 30, the window for securing the Lisa DualSense controller at retail price is expected to be narrow. Sony has not yet disclosed production quantities, but the limited-edition framing suggests supply will be constrained relative to demand. Fans hoping to avoid paying a premium are encouraged to prioritize the controller purchase on launch day, before the merchandise wave and any secondary-market activity intensify.
For Lisa, the collaboration reinforces her growing presence in gaming culture, blending her music career with a passion for interactive entertainment. As the drop approaches, one thing is certain: the Chroma Pearl controller and its accompanying merch are destined to become sought-after collector’s items, and the early movers will likely walk away with the best of both worlds.
