Alright, I’ve been tearing my hair out over PBO tuning on the new Zen architecture and want real-world data from people who’ve actually pushed these chips. When it comes to Curve Optimizer versus fixed all-core clocks, what’s your actual methodology for finding the stable negative offset? I’m running a 30 negative across all cores, but I’m seeing instability in lighter workloads rather than under full AVX load—does anyone else hit that inverted behavior, and how do you isolate which individual cores can’t hold the offset?

More importantly, how are you balancing per-core scalar tuning against single-thread peak boost? I keep sacrificing my ~5.1 GHz single-core headroom trying to stabilize all-core frequencies, but competitive titles clearly favor those bursty single-thread spikes over sustained multi-core throughput. Do you lock a modest fixed all-core clock for stability in heavier simulations, then drop the offset curve for esports titles, or do you let PBO roam freely and just chase the highest single-thread benchmark? What temperature and voltage thresholds are you using to decide where the line is, and has anyone measured a meaningful FPS difference between an aggressive all-core curve and a conservative per-core one in actual competitive matches?
