Microsoft has once again pushed back the release of the highly anticipated Fable, now slated for February 2027. The decision comes as the company cites a “year packed with incredible games” that includes blockbuster titles such as Grand Theft Automatisch VI, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Gears of War: E‑Day.
In a recent statement, Xbox outlined its 2026 launch calendar, highlighting a lineup that spans multiple genres and franchises. The company noted that titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Control Resonant, and Star Wars: Galactic Racer will also be hitting the platform that year.
“To ensure that each launch receives the attention it deserves, especially during the holiday season, we are moving Fable to February 2027,” Microsoft added. “This will give the game its own dedicated moment in the spotlight.”
Microsoft has announced that the long‑awaited Fable will receive a fresh reveal during its upcoming Xbox Spiele Showcase on June 8, where the company will also spotlight its expanded lineup of titles.
The event will feature a dedicated segment for the highly anticipated Gears of War E‑Day, adding further excitement to the showcase.
Originally unveiled in 2020 with a projected release in 2025, Fable has experienced multiple postponements. The latest update pushes the launch to February 2027, and the game will be available on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, as well as through Xbox Game Pass.

daebak news! Price will be the deciding factor. Fable delayed again as Xbox looks interesting, but waiting for a sale is way smarter than buying day one. Community feedback will sohw the truth.
