The season is also set to introduce major characters such as Rachel Elizabeth Dare and Nico di Angelo (Levi Christopheros).
Fears over future renewals
Despite continued interest in the series, one announcement that did not happen at New York Comic Con was a renewal for a fourth season. This has left some fans concerned that the five-book series will once again not be fully adapted into live-action.
For context, Disney renewed Percy Jackson for a third season in March 2025, ahead of season 2’s release in December. The change to the release schedule has also fueled worries about the show’s future, despite Disney already greenlighting an adaptation of Riordan’s Kane Chronicles.
