Lesser-known Sony development house Bend Studio has apparently been working on its next title for some time now. The game will reportedly be announced in 2027 and released in the same year.

This, according to MP1st, refers to “people who are aware of what’s going on at Bend.” Like Days Gone, Bend’s next game is from a third-person perspective. The title will reportedly feature co-op support, but no live service elements.
The report does not specify whether the game is based on a new or existing franchise, but states that it is not a sequel to Days Gone. The game is reportedly “significantly further along in development” than we think, which isn’t entirely surprising given how quiet Bend has been for years.
The seven years since Days Gone’s release in 2019 have been stormy for Bend Studio. The developers announced their next project in 2022 as a new in-house production that “builds on the open-world systems of Days Gone” and contains multiplayer elements.
Two years later, a job posting described a game in development at Bend as a triple-A live service project. This never-announced game was then canceled in 2025, triggering a wave of layoffs at the studio a few months later. Since then, Bend hasn’t heard a single word.
It’s now clear that the studio is moving on to its next project following the cancellation of that live service game. With 2026 almost over, we won’t have to wait much longer for the reveal of this mysterious game.

Remedy – the developer behind the recently released Control Resonant – has released a red-hot quarterly annual report. According to this, the company’s sales revenue increased by a full 226 percent after the release of Resonant in September and brought in a whopping 39.6 million euros in the third quarter.
This achievement was described by CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon as “a milestone for the company.” The company reported an operating profit of 0.6 million euros in the quarter, a sharp increase compared to the loss of 16.4 million euros in the previous quarter.
There are some interesting highlights in this sudden jump in performance. For one, the US accounted for almost half of Control Resonant’s players across PC and console, followed by Chinese-speaking regions and then the UK.
Perhaps most importantly, nearly half of Control Resonant’s players were completely new to the franchise, with the company stating, “Reaching new players was an important goal for this game, and these early results indicate a growing audience for the franchise and for Remedy.”
Control (2019) also saw an increase in sales, boosted by the release of Control Resonant, and performed stronger this quarter than the previous two quarters of this year and the comparable period (this quarter last year).
Remedy’s CEO now believes the studio’s focus is to “get Resonant into the hands of more gamers.” He goes on to say that the game has provided a solid foundation for growth while other projects (including the Max Payne 1 & 2 remake) are in the works. In short, things are looking pretty good for Remedy.
Control Resonant was an artistically impressive but critically divided game. While many praised the series’ first-person adventure, some found it to be less narratively pointed than its predecessor. Nevertheless, the game’s sales success quickly exceeded one million units after launch.
