The Treaty was signed to enter into force if Britain won the Battle of Gallipoli, but the treaty was not implemented due to the defeat of the war. In addition, the Treaty was announced to the public after the October Revolution in Russia in 1917, when the Bolsheviks took power and withdrew from the war, but the British and French parties denied the existence of such a treaty, claiming that it was fabricated by the Bolsheviks.
