HoYoverse has confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero version 3.3, titled “Journey to the Sky,” goes live on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. The urban fantasy action RPG is already available on PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, and Android, so the update arrives as a free patch rather than a new launch. It adds two S-Rank Agents, a mech combat mode in the main story, and a seasonal Halloween event.
Phoenix and Severian join the roster
Phoenix arrives in the first half of the version as an S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent. She is the second-in-command of combat at the Krampus Compliance Authority, and her kit lets her survive a fatal strike and return to the fight through a Rebirth effect. Her signature S-Rank W-Engine, Plume of Rebirth, debuts alongside her, while Velina and the Joyau Dore W-Engine return as reruns.
Severian follows in the second half as an S-Rank Wind Attack Agent and a senior commissioner at New Eridu Public Security. His core skill, Endless Breeze, automatically dodges incoming attacks and counters, and successful dodges build energy for a string of consecutive slashes. His signature W-Engine, Incarcerating Grip, debuts with him, while Norma and the Chief Sidekick W-Engine return in the same half. The second half is expected to begin on November 11.
Mech combat comes to the main story
The story continues the conflict over the sky island of Roscaelifer and introduces a new mech combat mode. Lindverne uses her Karma Core ability, Genesis Reconstruction, to create High Ambitions Corp combat mechs, which Proxies pilot while infiltrating enemy bases in disguise. Players can switch between melee and ranged attacks and use laser weaponry to fight and solve puzzles.
Events, outfits and free pulls
Proxies can also claim 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons from the version check-in events. Maintenance is expected to begin at 06:00 UTC+8 on October 21 and last about five hours, based on earlier versions.
