This time, they’re on a quest to once again thwart the nefarious Death Adder and save the land of Yuria from encroaching darkness. Joining them is Hampton Squib, an enthusiastic but woefully unprepared adventurer whose dreams far exceed his capabilities. Based on the original arcade game, the Golden Axe animated series is a collaboration between Mike McMahan (known for his work on Star Trek: Lower Decks) and Joe Chandler (American Dad). True to their pedigree, the show promises to be both faithful to the source material and infused with a healthy dose of meta-humor. As Tyris Flare aptly puts it in the trailer, they’re about to embark on “a series of progressively harder enemies” before facing off against Death Adder himself.
