Last week, we reported that Xbox was offering 25 free games to eligible buyers of Windows 11 PCs, with the promotion technically scheduled to begin on November 2nd (though it had started slightly early).
Well, last night, the “25 Years of XBOX Bundle” suddenly appeared on the Microsoft Store with an actual price tag, meaning that even if you aren’t eligible to get the games for free, you can actually buy the bundle if you really want to.
Just one problem – it’s retailing for a whopping $569.99.

Its existence on the Microsoft Store also means we have the full list of included games, which is as follows:
- Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition
- Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition
- Age of Mythology: Retold
- As Dusk Falls
- Battletoads
- Blinx: The Time Sweeper
- Call of Duty: WW2
- Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
- DOOM + DOOM 2
- Fallout 76 (PC)
- Fuzion Frenzy
- Gears of War: Reloaded
- Gears Tactics
- Halo: The Master Chief Collection
- Minecraft Dungeons for Windows
- Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition
- Quake
- Quake 2
- Rise of Nations: Extended Edition
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
- The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind Upgrade
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- The Outer Worlds
- Wolfenstein: The New Order
- Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Edition
Now, as much as there are some excellent games in the list here, it’s hard to recommend paying anywhere near $569.99 for them. We reckon that’s not really the point though — the bundle was created as a generous freebie for new Windows 11 PC buyers after all. It’s also only available in the United States.
Should you wish to go ahead and get it anyway, you’ll obviously be able to play all 25 of them on PC, while around half include the Xbox One / Series X|S versions via Play Anywhere, such as Gears of War: Reloaded and DOOM + DOOM 2.
We reckon it’s only worth picking up if you fall into the “eligible” freebie bracket, which unfortunately still remains quite vague when looking at the official FAQ for the 25 years of XBOX bundle.
“Customers in the United States are eligible when they purchase and activate a qualifying new Windows PC from a participating U.S. retailer or OEM during the offer period. Eligible devices include select Windows Home PCs from participating Microsoft and OEM device lines, including qualifying handhelds. The only Windows Pro exception is a qualifying NVIDIA RTX Spark™ devices running Windows Pro. Other Windows Pro devices are not eligible. The offer is valid for qualifying purchases made between November 2, 2026, at 12:00 AM UTC and December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM UTC, while supplies last.”

We have already seen some people receiving the bundle for free after purchasing a ROG Xbox Ally X20 in recent days, so that handheld seems to be part of the promotion, but it would be nice to have a proper breakdown of all the eligible devices.
Anyway, let us know what you think about this bundle in the comments down below – are you hoping to claim yours?!
