Last year, we were saddened when the annual Xbox Year in Review feature didn’t make a comeback for 2025, but based on what’s been uncovered behind the scenes, we’re getting a new version of it in 2026!
For those who don’t know, Year in Review (sometimes known as “Xbox Wrapped”) is a feature where you can see your Xbox activity from the past 12 months, including games you’ve played the most and the achievements you’ve acquired.
The folks at Better xCloud have discovered it’s called “Playback” this year, and here’s a first look:
Now, as you can see, a lot of this seems to be focused on your history from the past 25 years of Xbox (to celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary on November 15th), rather than just the past 12 months.
It remains to be seen whether they’ll have separate YiR graphics for 2026 as well, or whether the entire focus this year will be on your history from the past couple of decades. In any case, it should be rolling out within the coming weeks.
We’ll obviously let you know as soon as this goes live, so stay tuned for more details!
Excited for this? Do you want to see a separate Year in Review as well? Tell us down below.
