Meanwhile, the second addition to Microsoft’s Game Pass lineup is none other than Shift at Midnight, a chilling blend of horror, mystery, and action. This cooperative indie title has endured several delays, but it now has a definitive release date.
Developed by Bun Muen and published by Kwalee, the indie project will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on June 17, 2026. Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass will be able to download and play the title immediately upon release, at no additional cost.
In Shift at Midnight, players run a gas station where some patrons are shape‑shifting monsters masquerading as humans. The challenge is to spot the threats before they escape, because any that slip through will return later to ambush the player and their friends.
With the announcement that Solarpunk and Shift at Midnight will be added to Xbox Game Pass next month, June already boasts more than ten confirmed titles. The early lineup spans a wide range of styles and genres, ensuring that every gamer can find something that matches their preferences.
The month kicks off with Final Fantasy VI and Jurassic World Evolution 3 joining the Microsoft catalog on June 2. A few days later, the fantasy adventure Beastro will debut on June 11, followed by Frog Sqwad, a puzzle‑platformer crafted by Panic Stations, arriving on the same day.
