•Xbox Xbox announced its newest controller model on Wednesday, revealing the Xbox Nano Controller — a pocket-sized gamepad designed for gaming away from home.
The compact design positions the Nano Controller as an option for gamers with smaller hands or younger players who may struggle to find a controller that fits. Measuring 5 inches wide and weighing 3.5 ounces, it is notably smaller than Xbox’s existing options: both the Xbox Wireless and Elite controllers measure 6 inches in width and weigh about 10 and 12 ounces, respectively.
Nano Controller details and price
The controller features a rechargeable battery that charges via USB-C. It can connect to compatible PCs, mobile phones, and smart TVs over Bluetooth.
The Xbox Nano Controller costs $49.99 — $15 less than a regular Xbox controller. It will be released Nov. 4, with pre-orders are already available. Each account can purchase up to five controllers per order to keep scalpers at bay.
Gamers in the United States should note that select Samsung TVs will be part of a holiday promotion including a special Nano Controller and two months of Game Pass Ultimate.
