If you’re the proud owner of a new Xbox 25th Anniversary Special Edition Controller, you’re likely to have received a fresh dynamic background too.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Xbox has launched these gorgeous translucent green controllers to match the special edition Xbox Series X. The controllers shipped today, and several Xbox users have spotted that they come with a dynamic background heavily inspired by the OG Xbox.
A large Xbox 25 logo sits at the heart of the design, with a bright green vignette drawing in from the edges. It’s subtle, but still, a nice freebie to match the new peripherals. If you’re getting a case of FOMO and want to snag the X25 controller, you can pick one up for £74.99 / $79.99 from the Xbox Store.
As someone who opted for the Gears of War: E-Day controller over the X25, I’m feeling a wee bit envious of the new background. However, the design isn’t all too dissimilar from the ‘Original’ dynamic background, so I can’t be too upset.
