As you progress further in Final Fantasy Resonance, you’ll start stumbling upon ancient items, whether they’re types of armor or weapons. At first, their stats will be laughably low (literally sitting at one for their respective stats), but certainly there’s more to these equips that meets the eye. Yes! You can upgrade the ancient items into some of the best equips in the game, provided you can take on a few tough enemies.

Below, we explain what to do with the ancient items in Final Fantasy Resonance and list all the locations for the various ancient equipment in the game.

Where to upgrade ancient equipment in Final Fantasy Resonance

After getting the airship at the start of Chapter 5, you’ll be able to fully explore the map. Head to the Chamber of Arms, a small temple north of Dirnado and east of Gronoa.

Here, you can talk to her and she’ll give you the ancient bow. You’ll see pedestals in this area with many different types of equipment on them. Once you have the corresponding ancient equipment, you can take on a boss fight challenge to upgrade the equipment to its full form.

All the bosses you face are level 50, and they have a variety of gimmicks. Each boss also has two forms. Once you deplete its health bar, it’ll transform, revealing another boss you need to take down. (In our experience, Sephiroth was a tougher fight than these bosses, as these are quite gimmicky and none of them hit as hard as him.)

Make sure to save at the nearby save spot before you start the battle, as you may quickly realize you need to reshuffle your Visions before heading back in.

Where to find ancient equipment in Final Fantasy resonance

A lot of the ancient equipment can be easy to miss if you’re just bee-lining through the game’s story. There are a few things to know about some of these item locations:

  • In order to upgrade your airship’s scanner, you’ll need specific items (detailed below). Additionally, Lid will not prompt you to upgrade the scanner until you find all the items that can be found first. You’ll know that you’ve found all the items if you can’t scan anymore. Once you hit this point, you can talk to Lid with the required item, and she’ll upgrade the scanner for you.
  • If the name of the dungeon listed is completely unfamiliar to you, you may just need to progress in the story more. For example, Lasswell’s weapon is in the very last dungeon in the game, so you’ll be waiting a while before you can make that for him.

That all being said, we list all the ancient armor, weapons, and accessories, as well as where to find them below.
