Vampire Survivors Unveils Switch 2, New DLC, and Name Update

Despite pouring resources into their latest hit, Vampire Crawlers, Poncle remains deeply committed to its flagship title, Vampire Survivors.

Building on the recently unveiled “Wet Update,” the studio has announced a dedicated Switch 2 version of the game. Players can expect noticeably smoother performance and the addition of mouse support, a feature that has long been requested by the community. Further technical details will be shared as they become available.

“Legacy of the Bloodmoon” promises a rich addition to the roster, featuring ten brand‑new characters, more than sixteen new weapons and evolutions, an expansive XL stage, and eight fresh tracks. Together with the enhanced Legacy of the Moonspell, players are set to enjoy an experience that rivals the original expansion in depth and excitement.

Vampire Survivors is stepping into a new era, rebranded as Vampire Survivors – First Survivaton. The change comes alongside the free 1.15 update, which introduces a fresh stage, new characters, upgraded weapons, and the enigmatic Darkanas.

“Survivaton” is Poncle’s ambitious label for a series of Survivors‑style projects. Short for “survive a ton,” the brand will house internally developed games that build on the core mechanics of the studio’s flagship title while collaborating with select content partners. Each title under Survivaton is designed to deliver significant gameplay innovations, expansive content, or genre‑blending twists that justify standing alone as a unique experience.

With this initiative, Poncle is solidifying a clear roadmap for the Survivors lineage. By renaming the original game to Vampire Survivors – First Survivaton, the studio underscores its foundational role within the broader Survivaton ecosystem.

In a move to strengthen its presence in the Japanese market, Poncle is launching Poncle Japan, a dedicated subsidiary that will be led by industry veteran Sawaki Takeyasu.

The studio’s new team will act as a conduit between Poncle’s worldwide operations and the vibrant Japanese market, working closely with local players, creators, and industry allies. Their mission is to ensure that the studio’s titles and projects truly resonate with Japanese audiences while uncovering fresh avenues for expansion and partnership.
