December is usually a quiet period for new video game releases, yet a few notable titles are still lined up for the first weeks of the month on Xbox, including two intriguing remasters arriving on December 3rd.
The first of these was already known: Rayman Legends Retold is set to launch on Xbox Seri X and Xbox Seri S on that date. On the surface, “reimagining” an Xbox One game like Rayman Legends may seem somewhat redundant, but previews have been largely strong, and there is no doubt that Legends is a great game overall.
The second title was just announced today for December 3rd: Thief: The Karanlık Project Remastered. The original Thief has never appeared on Xbox before, having first released on PC in 1998, yet it was regarded as one of the best games of that year across any platform and holds an impressive 92 average rating on Metacritic.
Its remaster is being handled by Nightdive Studios, known for a large number of excellent remasters in recent years, so as long as you don’t mind its dated nature, this could turn out to be a must-buy on the 3rd.
Exciting news! Daha Fazla details on both games follow below.
Rayman Legends Retold
Embark on a bold reimagining of the acclaimed platformer, filled with new content and narrative twists. When a shadowy villain spreads corruption across the Glade of Dreams, journey through its charming worlds solo or in up to 4‑player couch co‑op in a fast‑paced, side‑scrolling adventure where every stumble and surprise adds to the delightful chaos.
Thief: The Karanlık Project Remastered (Date Just Announced!)
In Thief: The Karanlık Project Remastered, Nightdive Studios brings back the pioneering 3D stealth game from Looking Glass Studios. Described by its developers as a “first-person sneaker,” the 1998 title challenged norms with its non-confrontational gameplay at a time when most first-person games prioritized combat. Thief was the first stealth game to use light and sound as game mechanics to help you hide from and sneak up on characters, rather than simply attacking them. Remastered with Nightdive’s KEX Oyun Motoru, the release includes Thief: The Karanlık Project and the additional missions, content and updates from the 1999 Thief Gold re-release.
