The Witcher 3 gets new expansion, Songs of the Past, in 2027

CD Projekt Red has announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive a third expansion, titled Songs of the Past, slated for release in 2027.

In a press release, the studio revealed that the expansion is being co‑developed with Fool’s Theory, a group of seasoned veterans who previously contributed to The Witcher 3. The new content will bring players back to the iconic monster hunter Geralt of Rivia for a fresh adventure, launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Further details are expected to surface in late summer 2026, likely around July or August.

The announcement also hinted that CD Projekt Red will raise the PC system requirements to ensure smoother performance and future compatibility, with more specifics to follow later in the year.
