Rebel Wolves is preparing a large update for The Blood of Dawnwalker that will let players erase and reallocate their acquired skills, add new difficulty options, and even pet dogs. According to GameSpot, Update 1.1 arrives next week.
The headline addition is an item called the Draught of Mind Rebirth, which lets players forget all the skills and abilities they’ve earned across the Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism trees. This allows points to be reallocated to better fit a playstyle while also returning the time associated with those skills—useful for clearing extra missions within Dawnwalker’s 30-day limit. we don’t find the system to be restrictive.
The update will also add a new Story difficulty setting that provides “additional combat assist,” along with subtitle settings across all lines of dialogue.
Beyond new features, Update 1.1 includes tweaks to existing systems: an updated FrameGen system, camera improvements, enhanced Shadowstep and Planeshift abilities, and the removal of blood censorship in the Japanese version. Combat will also be adjusted to make targeting easier—currently finicky because the direction-based system prioritizes blocking incoming attacks over focusing on a particular enemy.
