Earlier this year, Valve disclosed that its hardware lineup had been hit by a global component shortage, leading to frequent stockouts of the beloved Steam Deck across all markets.
After securing fresh supply chains, Valve has restocked the device, but the comeback comes with a hefty price tag.
On the Steam Deck product page, the OLED variants—512 GB and 1 TB—now carry a price hike of more than 40 percent.
Valve explained in a recent Steam blog post that the price rise reflects increased memory and storage costs, as well as broader logistical challenges affecting the entire industry.
