EA, LucasFilm and Bit Reactor have officially announced that the highly anticipated Star Wars Zero Company will launch on 27 August.
The upcoming single‑player, turn‑based tactics game promises to blend the iconic Star Wars universe with the strategic depth of XCOM, offering fans a fresh yet familiar experience.
According to the press release, the game’s narrative and mechanics will plunge players into a tense, covert war unfolding against the backdrop of the Clone Wars, as they assume the role of former Galactic Republic officer Hawks, now leading the enigmatic Zero Company.
Zero Company is portrayed as a diverse, freelance unit drawn from across the galaxy, featuring a Clone Trooper, a Mandalorian from the ancient Clan Verminoth, a Jedi Padawan, and more, all united in their mission to track down and neutralise Kundri Fathom, the Separatist‑aligned cult leader of the Infinite Coil.
According to Greg Foertsch, CEO of Bit Reactor, the team has infused everything they admire about Star Wars into the game Zero Company. The game is set to offer a tactics genre experience that seamlessly blends deep gameplay with cinematic finesse, thanks to the bold characters, compelling storytelling, striking settings, and emotional undertones of Star Wars battles.
Mark your calendars for 27 August, as Star Wars Zero Company is set to launch on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
