Sometimes, a game will crop up that I really want to write about, but can’t because it’s not available on PlayStation. Nubby’s Number Factory is one of those games.

Originally released on PC in March 2025, this bizarre little roguelike is so up my street, and I’m very pleased to be able to say it’s heading to Sony’s systems in the future.
The news comes via PSNProfiles, where Trophies for the PS4 version of Nubby’s Number Factory have surfaced. Unsurprisingly, the Trophies are identical to the Steam achievements, with the addition of a platinum.
There doesn’t appear to be a live PS Store page for the game yet, but the appearance of Trophies suggests it’s not far from release.
As it turns out, console ports were confirmed back in July of this year in an update on the game’s Steam page. Dezvoltator MogDogBlog provides a rather wide estimate for release, “between Q4 2026 and Q4 2027” — but again, the Trophy list usually indicates an imminent launch.
Anyway, you’re probably wondering what the hell this strange-looking title is. Nubby’s Number Factory is a plinko-style roguelike arcade game with a brilliantly bizarre Y2K aesthetic.
You launch Nubby into each board and knock into pegs, scoring points and reaching quotas to beat each level. Between stages, you can purchase upgrades and enhance various aspects of the game, leading to some seriously busted synergies that make your scores go bananas.
It’s in the same school of number-go-up, dopamine-fuelling roguelikes that are super compelling — think Balatro, Raccoin, and CloverPit.
What makes this game stand out is its unusual presentation, which combines simple 3D models, flashy word art, and Comic Sans to evoke an early 2000s look that I really like.
It’s also sitting at an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam, with 97% of over 17,000 user reviews being positive.
Anyway, the jury’s out on an exact release date, but you’ll be able to clock into the Number Factory seemingly soon on PS5/PS4. Are you interested in this one? Tell us in the comments section below.
