The fog’s finally starting to lift off Bloober Team’s highly anticipated Silent Hill 1 remake, as a new report from MP1st reveals the game’s window and early casting details. According to it, Silent Hill 1 remake’s casting codename is “Project Noise.”

British actors Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthews are reportedly voicing characters in this upcoming remake.
Silent Hill 1 features a handful of prominent female characters, and both Fritz and Matthews could portray anyone from the skeptical police officer Cybil Bennet to the compassionate nurse Lisa Garland, or even young Alessia’s abusive mother Dahlia Gillespie.
In games, Fritz’s most notable work includes voicing Maria Falck in Battlefield 2042 and the Abyss in 2026’s bullet-hell shooter Luna Abyss. Meanwhile, Matthews was part of the Korean MMORPG Dragon Nest.
No word on who’s voicing and providing motion capture for the game’s protagonist, Harry Mason, though French-American actor Zachary Fall may be in line, as Matthews and Mateusz Lenart (Silent Hill 2 remake creative director) recently followed him on Instagram.

Silent Hill 1 remake 2027 release aligns with Konami’s annual release plan

In an interview with GamesRadar earlier this year, Silent Hill producer Motoi Okamoto said that Konami wants to release a new Silent Hill game every year. With Silent Hill Townfall out of the way, next in line is the Silent Hill 1 remake.
Interestingly, notable horror leaker DuskGolem claimed in 2025 that the Silent Hill 1 remake has been in development since 2022, making its 2027 release window much more believable.
That said, the odds are stacked against Bloober Team, who shipped two major AAA releases in the last three years – Silent Hill 2 remake and Cronos: The New Dawn. In addition to the Silent Hill 1 remake, it’s developing three other titles: Star Trek: Shadow Frontier, Onyx: The 다크 Grip, and Layers of Fears 3, two of which are scheduled to launch in 2027.
Silent Hill 1 remake was revealed in June 2025, eight months after the critical and commercial success of Silent Hill 2 remake. It’s part of the second wave of Konami’s annual Silent Hill releases.
