Get ready, Xbox Game Pass subscribers! Another wave of titles is heading for the “Leaving Soon” section, and this time, a true gaming icon is among them. While some fresh additions have recently spiced up the library, it’s always bittersweet to see beloved games depart.
A Farewell to Familiar Favorites
As spotted on the Xbox mobile app, five games are scheduled to vanish from Game Pass on August 31st. These include Another Crab’s Treasure, I Am Your Beast, Neon Abyss, One Lonely Outpost, and, most notably, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition. Don’t fret too much, though! You can snag these titles at a 20% discount before they disappear. This is the perfect opportunity to finally dive into that game you’re been eyeing or revisit an old favorite.
Another Crab’s Treasure offers a charming twist on the souls-like genre, while I Am Your Beast delivers a unique first-person experience reminiscent of Hotline Miami. For those craving action and replayability, Neon Abyss is a slick 2D roguelike platformer that’s sure to keep you hooked. And for something truly different, One Lonely Outpost offers a contemplative and atmospheric experience.
The Witcher 3: A Loss for Game Pass
The departure of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is arguably the biggest news here. CD Projekt Red’s sprawling open-world masterpiece has captivated players for years, and its absence from Game Pass will be felt by many. While the game often goes on sale for a reasonable price, its inclusion in Game Pass was an incredible value proposition. If you’re even remotely interested in experiencing Geralt of Rivia’s adventures, now is the time to jump in before it’s gone.
Microsoft typically operates with two waves of additions and removals each month for Game Pass. Earlier this month, we said goodbye to four games, but the service was simultaneously enriched with new arrivals like Beast of Reincarnation and early access to the Gears of War: E-Day beta. This constant rotation keeps the library fresh and exciting, even if it means saying farewell to some cherished titles.
