Bethesda plans to make Sentinel the subtitle to The Elder Scrolls VI, and it could confirm the full name as soon as next month, says The Verge’s Tom Warren.

In a fresh report, the writer states that “sources familiar with Bethesda’s plans” indicate The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel is the official title, and the announcement could take place in November, when Skyrim turns 15 years old (yes, it really has been that long).
Warren only expects the name to be revealed, and “nothing more”, in November.
However, the writer shares more of the details he’s heard concerning the long-awaited RPG. According to him, Sentinel is set in Hammerfell, and it’ll explore the history of the franchise and “mysterious ancient artifacts”.
It’s been almost eight and a half years since Bethesda confirmed The Elder Scrolls VI in a quick trailer at the end of its E3 2018 press conference, in which it also unveiled Starfield. Absolutely nothing of the RPG has been shown since then.
It sounds like we might at least have an official name soon.
Also in the works at Bethesda is Fallout 5, it has remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas on the way, and Avowed studio Obsidian is working with the publisher on its own Fallout title.
Xbox has recently been polling its players on what they’d think about The Elder Scrolls VI becoming an exclusive, so after Gears of War: E-Day was pulled from PS5 at the last minute, a PS5 release for Bethesda’s next big RPG isn’t a foregone conclusion.
