Last month, Capcom announced it would be releasing a Prologue Demo for Monster Hunter Wilds on the Switch 2.
It’s now provided an update about this, announcing it will be available next week on 19th October 2026. It will be a completely free download and allows you to carry your save data over to the full game when it arrives on 4th December 2026.
Local play will also be supported in the demo, so you can try out this experience with friends and family who also have access to a Switch 2. As noted in the fine print, online πολλαπλών παικτών is “not available” in the demo. Digital pre-orders will also open on the same date as the launch of the demo.
The launch of Monster Hunter Wilds on the Switch 2 in December will be followed by the release of the game’s new expansion Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance.
