In what can only be described as a gamer’s dream come true, one Reddit user has stumbled upon an unbelievable deal on a high-end gaming laptop. A simple mislabeling at the factory resulted in a massive price difference, turning what should have been a standard purchase into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The Accidental Upgrade

As detailed in a post on the GamingLaptops subreddit, a European buyer ordered a Razer Blade 18 equipped with an RTX 5090. What they received was a significantly upgraded version: a Razer Blade 18 featuring the same powerful processor, but boasting double the storage (2TB SSD), and the same amount of memory (32GB). The original configuration they intended to purchase would have cost around €6,600 (approximately $7,700), while the accidental upgrade only set them back €2,433 (around $2,800). This is an incredible deal, even considering the current inflated prices of gaming laptops.

The user humorously commented, “I’m done. I used up my luck for this timeline,” a sentiment echoed by many in the comments section. The price difference is so significant that they could have purchased nearly three of their original configurations for the price of the upgraded machine. The Razer label and invoice seem to match the received hardware, suggesting a simple labeling error at the factory.

While we don’t know if the Redditor will keep this incredible find, it highlights a rare mistake on Razer’s part. At PC Gamer, we are big fans of what Razer is putting out in the gaming laptop space. The most recent Razer Blade, with our Andy saying, “It’s still one of the best gaming laptops money can buy, but the massive price tag throws me for a loop.” We also really liked the upgraded chassis, gorgeous display, and solid battery life. Razer Blade laptops are known for their build quality and design, even if they come with a premium price tag.

Unfortunately, our roundup of the best gaming laptop shows that gaming laptops are currently expensive. Prices are high due to increased costs for memory, storage, and GPUs, making deals like this incredibly rare. Luckily, iiT2 now has enough gaming horsepower to wait until the whole thing blows over.

It was not until 2019, after just finishing a degree in law and media, that they decided to throw out the last few years of education, build their PC, and start writing about gaming instead. In that time, he has covered the latest doodads, contraptions, and gismos, and loved every second of it. Hey, it’s better than writing case briefs.
