Putting together next week’s PS5 releases, I was utterly flabbergasted by the number of truly great games on the way.
But not long after I completed my guide, Devolver Digital added another title to the list: the acclaimed survival horror and RPG mash-up Look Outside which is launching on 30th October.
This title first launched on PC last year, where it attracted an 83 review average on Metacritic – it’s pretty good, then.
What I find particularly appealing about this game is its combination of Resident Evil-style resource management and traditional Phantasy Star-esque turn-based combat. It’s got a brilliant retro body horror-style aesthetic, too.
The press release touts a 10-15 hour running time, which I think is a selling point in this case, as it’s something you can get through in a weekend without it taking over your life. Perfect for Halloween, then.
