PS5 Exclusive Marvel’s Wolverine Is Sony’s Biggest Launch Since Helldivers 2

Marvel’s Wolverine has clearly done well for itself in terms of sales, with new data from PS Store charts as well as Circana painting a very positive picture.

The recent superhero action title from Insomniac Jeux launched last month exclusively for PS5, and in terms of the PS Store, it was September’s number one game in North America, coming in second place on the European chart.

Adding some context to this, Circana’s Mat Piscatella reports the game was last month’s top-selling title in full game dollar sales, and arrives as the 11th-best-selling game in the US for 2026 overall.

The analyst provides another interesting fact: Marvel’s Wolverine is apparently the biggest launch month (dollar sales) for a Sony-published game since the release of Helldivers 2, back in February 2024.

In other words, the game has had a very successful first month on the market. While we don’t have a concrete number in terms of unit sales, it’s quite clear the game has been a hit.

On top of the sales of the game itself, Piscatella also says the Marvel’s Wolverine limited edition DualSense controller was September’s best-selling accessory, in both units and dollars.
