This feature-length film, produced by Story inc. and CloverWorks, follows an aspiring Pokémon Trading Card Game player alongside Mimikyu, the Disguise Pokémon. Then, prepare for some charming stop-motion fun with Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu, a series from Aardman, the studio behind Wallace & Gromit. This delightful show will premiere on Disney+ in 2027, and fans were treated to a teaser trailer during a behind-the-scenes panel featuring Aardman’s Tom Parkinson, Nat McKay, James Young, and Pokémon’s director of original animation, Phil Rynda.
Pokémon Champions Gets Mega Makeover
For those eager for new gameplay experiences, Pokémon Champions is getting a significant update on September 9th. Mega Lucario Z, Mega Garchomp Z, and Mega Absol Z are joining the roster alongside Baxcalibur and Rillaboom. More details about Heatran’s inclusion are promised soon.
Pokémon TCG Gets a Mega Boost
The Pokémon Trading Card Game is also getting the Mega treatment! Prepare for a wave of powerful Mega attack rare cards, including Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Greninja ex, and Mega Zygarde ex. The new ex★ Series will feature Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. And for those playing Pokémon TCG Pocket, dual-type Pokémon are coming in October.

Pokémon GO celebrated its own milestone this weekend with a special event. To keep the Go Battle League fresh, eligible Mega-Evolved Pokémon will gain a third Charged Attack and become usable at every level of the league starting next season.
