Capcom had previously pledged not to release a Resident Evil Requiem demo ahead of its February 2026 launch. However, with the game now a few months past its debut, the publisher has reversed course and is offering a playable sample.
The demo, featuring a slice of the game’s early stages, is now live on the PlayStation Store. Note that any progress made in the demo will not carry over if you purchase the full title later, so treat it as a trial run to gauge your interest.
From the description, the demo appears to let players navigate the opening Wrenwood segment as Grace, with a brief excursion into the Rhodes Hill care center likely included.
Those who decide to buy the game can do so through the new PlayStation Store Days of Play promotion, which offers a 30% discount on Resident Evil Requiem until June 10, 2026.
In our recent Resident Evil Requiem review for the PlayStation 5, we awarded the title an impressive 8‑out‑of‑10, noting that the game masterfully blends the most compelling elements of Resident Evil 4 with the atmospheric strengths of Resident Evil 7, resulting in a thrilling yet noticeably uneven adventure.
