S-GAME has announced that a physical version of Phantom Blade Zero will be available next year. The developer revealed the news as a stinger at the end of its new launch trailer, with the full title arriving digitally next week, on 29 October 2026. Check it out above.

When the physical launch rolls around, there’ll be three editions to choose from: Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and an Ultimate Edition with a collectible steel case. Currently, the base game costs £54.99 / $59.99 digitally, while the Deluxe Edition is an extra £10 / $10, so I’d expect similar pricing for the boxed copies.
The digital version launches next week, and it’s apparently taking up as much as 134GB of space on PS5 consoles. Due to that being more data than a standard Blu-ray disc can hold, it means Phantom Blade Zero will need to either ship on two PS5 discs or require a download of additional data in order to run.
A graphic at the end of the trailer only includes one disc in the shot, but I wouldn’t take this as confirmation either way.
One of the last anticipated PS5 releases of 2026, the game had been written off by some PlayStation fans since there was no physical version. Now we know one will be coming in 2027 for PS5.
The game itself is shaping up nicely, as we played six hours of it during a recent Beijing, China trip. “This is not a studio finding its footing in the action genre; it’s one already primed to lead it,” I said a few weeks ago. “Outstanding combat and boss encounters will make the S-GAME effort one of this year’s greatest experiences.”
