Inde Navarrette is lining up some major roles following her breakout performance in bağlantı”>Obsession, including a turn as Rogue in Marvel’s upcoming bağlantı”>X-Men reboot and a starring role in Apple’s sci-fi thriller bağlantı”>The Waffle House Index. But the actress isn’t ready to leave her horror hit behind just yet.
Navarrette said she’d be happy to return for a potential Obsession sequel in bağlantı”>a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She also discussed her sudden rise to fame, her upcoming projects, and what she thinks happens to her character Nikki after the film’s credits roll.

“I would totally be open to doing a sequel. Are you kidding me? Who am I to say no?”
Inde Navarrette
Rather than jumping straight into another nightmare, Navarrette thinks Nikki would have to first begin processing everything that happened to her during the disturbing events of bağlantı”>director Curry Barker’s horror film. “I think the non-pretty answer, which I think is more important to give sometimes than kind of just giggling through answers, is she’s starting a grief process,” Navarrette explained.
Nikki’s experience involves losing her autonomy after her friend Bear (Michael Johnston) uses a mysterious novelty item called the One Wish Willow to make her love him more than anything in the world. The wish has increasingly horrific consequences, and by the end leaves Nikki to grapple with an experience that was never her choice.
Navarrette’s comments come as Barker has also expressed interest in revisiting the film’s strange mythology. In May, the writer-director said he was considering bağlantı”>either Obsession 2 or an anthology series exploring different wishes gone wrong, potentially with other filmmakers putting their own spin on the concept.
An anthology could expand the One Wish Willow’s possibilities without requiring a direct continuation of Nikki’s story. But with both Barker and Navarrette open to returning, a proper sequel remains a possibility.
