Sony has quietly rolled out a price hike across all tiers of its PlayStation Plus subscription, not just the base Essential package. While the company initially disclosed the increase for the Essential level, it later revealed that the Extra and Premium tiers will also see higher fees. New subscribers and those whose memberships are set to expire will now face steeper costs across the board.
Analyse: The simultaneous rise in all tiers signals Sony’s intent to bolster revenue from its subscription ecosystem, a strategy that could reshape the competitive landscape for cloud‑based and premium gaming services worldwide.
Curious about how the current PlayStation Plus lineup stacks up for you? We’d love to hear whether you find the service worthwhile and whether you plan to participate in Sony’s upcoming survey. Del dine tanker in the comments below.
