Nintendo has stealth-dropped the Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, kicking off a multi-wave content rollout with Wave 1 now available.

The pass delivers new material in several waves. The first wave adds four legendary hero relics drawn from sibling series Fire Emblem: Three Houses: the Areadbhar spear, the Aymr axe, the Failnaught bow, and the Sword of the Creator.

The game’s second wave carries an estimated arrival during the 2026 holiday season. It will introduce outfits wearable by any Flame Lord or their companions, with a trailer featuring Father Fabio in unexpected attire. Several of the game’s gods will also join the fight to save the world, joining three new companions named Smyrnos, Jurah, and Aurora.

The third wave is described as the largest update announced so far, with a release date set for 2027. It will add stories for four characters who are not Flame Lords: Anatolia, Talimunn, Bertand, and Orchel.

Before Fortune’s Weave launched, developer Intelligent Systems revealed the game was originally intended to have eight main characters. Evidence of that decision appears in-game: during its opening minutes, as protagonist Eshmel approaches a large temple, he passes eight statues—four identified as the Flame Lords of Dagda and four left seemingly without significance.

The pass costs $35, bringing the total price for Fortune’s Weave and all additional content to over $100. Some players have pushed back on the amount of new story content; as one YouTube commenter put it, “Chill bro, I’m not even done with my first route.”
