A new mod for bağlantı”>Gears of War: E-Day allows players to outfit the game’s characters with skins drawn from other franchises, including Halo Spartans, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines and Star Wars Clone Troopers.
The mod, called Incursion, was created by game designer Tom Whaley, known online as bağlantı”>@Unreal_Dev on X / Twitter. It adds a skin selector to E-Day that lets players dress up Marcus, Dom, Mags and Lucas in various skins. Alongside the Halo and Warhammer options, there are Clone Troopers from Star Wars and some “in-universe appropriate” Gears skins.

Skins can be chosen either from the new option in the main menu or from the pause menu during play.

The Incursion mod simplifies what is usually a multi-mod setup for this kind of customization. Once installed, players can switch between skins without having to manually swap files or reinstall different character mods. A copy of Gears of War: E-Day is required to run the mod pack.
Installation instructions are available on the bağlantı”>Nexus Mods page for the mod.

The mod arrives shortly after reports that E-Day had a soft commercial start. According to a report by Rhys Elliott, head of marketing analysis at Alinea Analytics, bağlantı”>E-Day sold an estimated 230,000 copies in its first week. These unofficial figures were not backed by data from Microsoft and suggested that the Xbox subscription service Game Pass was cannibalizing sales.
This month, a leader at The Coalition bağlantı”>responded to reports that studio staff were worried they might lose their jobs amid ongoing cuts at Xbox, promising that the next Gears game would not take as long to make. Future games are expected to see the return of meat shields and chainsaw duels, features bağlantı”>that were conspicuously missing from Gears of War: E-Day at launch. The developers made the game from scratch rather than building on previous entries in the series.
