The last time we wrote about Witchbrook was back in 2020, before the launch of PS5, when the game was re-revealed — though with no confirmed platforms.

We’re now about six-and-a-half years down the line, and developer/publisher Chucklefish has finally nailed down a release date. What’s more, it’s coming to PS5.
Witchbrook is scheduled for launch on 28th January, 2027:
In case you aren’t aware, Witchbrook is a life sim set in a world of magic, witches, and wizards. You play a character who’s just moved to a town named Mossport, and you enrol in its magical school, learning various disciplines and taking exams. It supports up to four players in online co-op.
It looks similar to Stardew Valley, not just with its pixel art visuals but also the sheer volume of stuff it seems you can do.
The above trailer shows you attending classes, brewing potions, gathering resources, going on nature trails, flying on broomsticks, having a tarot reading, customising rooms — there’s a lot packed into this game.
It’s always looked super impressive — let’s hope it can live up to the promise when it arrives early next year.
