Austin MorrisMemberGreat topic. Let me break down the actual mechanics because a lot of people misunderstand what Black eQualizer is doing under the hood. Gamma is fundamentally a nonlinear mapping between the input signal value and the emitted luminance, following L = V^γ where γ is typically 2.2 for standard sRGB content. Black eQualizer doesn’t add contrast—it removes it from the shadow region by compressing the lower portion of the transfer curve.
Essentially it applies a lift to the black point and steepens the slope of the low-midrange, which pushes otherwise-indistinguishable dark gray values apart so your eye can separate enemy silhou?

Austin MorrisMemberUpdate: Thanks everyone, this actually worked. I was tearing my hair out over those random framedrops in competitive shooters even though my CPU temps were fine and I had plenty of overhead. Turns out Windows was happily shoving my game threads onto the E-cores and the scheduler was thrashing between big and little cores. I followed [user]’s advice and locked down process affinity in the game’s launch options plus disabled the asymmetric scheduling option in BIOS, and now everything runs on the P-cores consistently. Dropping a solid 40-60fps more with way fewer stutters. The BIOS setting I changed was the one about disabling E-cores during gaming / core priority, shoutout to whoever flagged it. Happy to share my exact config if anyone’s dealing with the same issue.

Austin MorrisMemberGreat topic.
On the architecture side, the thing that trips people up most is assuming Micro-LED behaves like an OLED in?
