Alright guys, you were all right — I finally bit the bullet and swapped out the old sticks for a set of Hall Effect ones with adjustable magnetic sensing, and the analog drift I’ve been fighting for two years is completely gone. Zero deadzone now, no more phantom movement in menu screens, and I stopped second-guessing every little drift. Honestly wish I’d made the switch years ago, but thanks for walking through the whole deadzone calibration stuff and the drift theory with me — really helped me understand why the potentiometer wear was killing me in the first place. Updating the thread title to reflect the win.
