The core confusion in this thread is that GtG and MPRT measure fundamentally different things, so comparing their numbers head-to-head is apples to oranges. GtG is the panel’s actual pixel transition time—typically measured between two grey levels (often the 10% to 90% or 800-to-200 grey transition)—and it’s what genuinely determines ghosting and smearing on your screen. MPRT, on the other hand, isn’t a true panel spec at all; it’s a motion

Great topic, and I’ve been running Hall Effect switches in ranked for the better part of two years now, so let me add some concrete takeaways. The single biggest mistake people make with rapid trigger calibration is treating the actuation distance as a static number—on magnetic switches it’s dynamic, and your reset point tracking is what actually matters. When you set a 0.1mm actuation with rapid trigger enabled, the key resets the instant you lift above that threshold, so the return trip is nearly instantaneous. But if your spring plate or stabilizers introduce any wobble, the Hall sensor reads a shifting magnetic field and you get phantom resets or missed actuations mid-tap. I always recommend doing a 15-minute calibration run in a tool like the manufacturer’s tuning software with a metronome or a simple tap-test at 200+ BPM—if the trigger point drifts more than ~0.02mm between runs, your
