First thing I’d push back on in the OP: most people conflate the NVIDIA driver with the actual culprit when it comes to DPC latency, and the distinction matters. When LatencyMon flags high DPC times, the top offenders are usually NDIS (your network stack), ntoskrnl (kernel scheduler), and the display driver itself — nvlddmkm.sys. The NVIDIA driver absolutely can spike DPC latency, but it’s usually tied to specific features, not the driver as a whole. Turning off hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, disabling G-Sync on desktop (leave it for games where you want it), and making sure you’re not running multiple GPU clocks via MSI Afterburner profiles idle is where I’d start. A clean DDU wipe before reinstalling matters more than chasing the “gaming” driver branch — I’ve seen the Game Ready drivers introduce DPC jitter between patches. If LatencyMon is consistently flagging nvlddmkm at 50ms+, that’s your smoking gun, not the kernel.

On the kernel side, the real architecture wins are about removing interrupt contention and power-state transitions. Lock your CPU at a fixed frequency via the Windows power plan (or Intel XTU/AMD Precision Boost Override) — C
