Update (apex_mason_27):

Alright, update for anyone else stuck on this—following the advice in the thread, I went into the BIOS and turned off the monitor scaler’s forced 10-bit RGB Full (limited) output and locked it back to 8-bit RGB Full for the high-refresh profile. I’d been chasing a phantom bandwidth mismatch all morning, convinced the scaler was choking the signal, but it was actually just the color depth handshake tripping the encoder at 1440p/240Hz. Switched it back to 8-bit, re-ran the stress test, and the frame drops completely vanished—was losing 3-4ms per frame intermittently, now dead stable. Big thanks to everyone who pointed me at the BIOS color depth setting instead of chasing GPU driver issues; this was a total red herring and I probably would’ve swapped cards for nothing. If you’re on a scaler-heavy setup hitting similar intermittent stalls, check that RGB range + color depth combo before anything else.
