Weeks after a steady stream of leaks preceded Grand Theft Auto 6’s extended look on Netflix, Rockstar Games is confronting another data breach. A massive trove of approximately 192 GB from Grand Theft Auto 5 has surfaced online, unearthing canceled DLC plans, scrapped in-game assets, and early prototypes for the upcoming sequel.
The haul dwarfs the source code leak that appeared in 2023, which contained only around four or five gigabytes of data. According to GTA content creators such as TJGM, this newer dump weighs roughly 192 GB, giving fans an enormous amount of material to dissect. Among the most striking discoveries is a huge Liberty City map intended for a Grand Theft Auto 5 DLC that never came to fruition.
A Canceled Liberty City Expansion
Liberty City has long served as Rockstar’s fictional stand-in for New York City, appearing across several installments in the series. The newly surfaced map suggests a substantial expansion was once planned but ultimately shelved. Many analysts, including TJGM, speculate that this Liberty City DLC may have been canceled and repurposed for Grand Theft Auto 6, though no concrete evidence confirms that connection.
The discovery adds to growing speculation about how Rockstar recycled assets across its flagship franchises during the long development cycle of its next-generation title.
The Scrapped “Agent Trevor” DLC
Fans have been aware for some time of a scrapped “Agent Trevor” expansion that would have seen Trevor, one of Grand Theft Auto 5’s three protagonists, channel his best James Bond impression as a secret agent. Steven Ogg, the actor who voices Trevor, previously suggested the project was canceled so Rockstar could focus on the revenue-generating GTA Online.
The idea was that they were going to make this Agent Trevor thing and then it just kind of got cut because they wanted to focus more on GTA Online. That’s my speculation as an actor, but I think that’s what happened.

The leaked mission descriptions reveal the antics Trevor would have embarked upon as a secret spy, featuring torture scenarios, bomb defusal sequences, and jetpack escapes. One casino sequence appears to nod to Casino Royale, complete with a roulette minigame and an assassination plot that players could have thwarted. Interior environments for several of these missions have also surfaced.

Cut Vehicles and Early GTA 6 Assets
The leak includes numerous cut vehicles from Grand Theft Auto 5, including a dog fitted with wheels alongside construction machinery and a space rover-like contraption that has made people wonder whether players could once have ridden dogs. A golf car, boat, police car, and other machines have also surfaced.
Beyond Grand Theft Auto 5 data, users discovered very early assets for Grand Theft Auto 6, including maps and 3D building models. While some accounts claim these originate from 2023, they are more likely drawn from a prototyped version of the game dating back to 2015.
Fans can also listen to unused funny dialogue, cut mission dialogue, and lines for the original version of ending A in which Trevor crashes into a tank of liquid nitrogen and becomes frozen. Communities on Reddit and X have already begun compiling and summarizing findings as enthusiasts continue uncovering new details.
Looking Ahead
Grand Theft Auto 6 arrives nearly 13 years after Grand Theft Auto 5 launched in 2013, with a release date set for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The title will be available digitally only, transport players to a fictionalized version of Miami featuring a nudist camp, and receive its own special PS5 controller that scalpers are already exploiting.
As the community continues analyzing this enormous leak, further revelations about Rockstar’s development history remain likely in the coming days.
